Urban Capital Group Pty Ltd is a Perth-based property development and project management company delivering residential subdivisions and built-form projects across the metropolitan region. The company manages projects through feasibility, design coordination, statutory approvals, procurement, construction delivery, and compliance governance.
Due to continued project growth and expansion of our development pipeline, we are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Civil Engineer will provide in-house technical leadership across feasibility, authority approvals, civil design coordination, and construction-phase engineering governance for land development projects.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director and works closely with the Project Manager and external engineering consultants.
Key Responsibilities
· Review and technically direct civil engineering designs prepared by external consultancies (roads, drainage, earthworks, retaining structures, utilities).
· Conduct engineering due diligence for land acquisitions, including servicing assessments, constraints analysis, and preliminary feasibility inputs.
· Prepare and oversee feasibility studies, including earthworks modelling, stormwater management concepts, and preliminary cost assessments.
· Manage engineering interfaces with local authorities and service providers.
· Coordinate subdivision engineering approvals, compliance requirements, and clearance documentation.
· Provide technical input into contractor procurement, tender review, and contract administration.
· Monitor construction performance against approved designs and specifications.
· Develop and implement internal engineering governance systems and quality assurance processes.
· Support risk management and continuous improvement initiatives across development projects.
Essential Criteria
· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
· Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in civil engineering, preferably in land subdivision or development projects.
· Demonstrated experience in civil design coordination, authority approvals, and construction-phase engineering.
· Strong knowledge of Western Australian local government and service authority requirements.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and technical stakeholders concurrently.
· High-level analytical, reporting, and problem-solving capability.
· Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
Salary
Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The remuneration package will meet or exceed market salary rates for the position.
