One of our leading federal govt clients is seeking to engage Automation Tester for Canberra /Melbourne location-Hybrid
Please note candidate must have Baseline Security clearance
Initial contract duration- 4 MonthsExtension term -36 monthsLocation of work -Canberra/Melbourne Working arrangements -Hybrid
Overview:Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Playwright.Collaborate with developers, test analysts, and stakeholders to identify and prioritise high-value test scenarios for automation, ensuring maximum coverage and impactContribute and implement test frameworks for front-end, back-end, and API testing.Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify bugs and performance issues.Integrate tests into Cl/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub and/or Azure DevOps.Document test results and provide feedback to development teams.Contribute effectively within a Agile Scrum TeamPerform manual exploratory testing for new features and regression scenarios where automation is not yet implemented
Essential criteria1.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Typescript or C#.2.Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Playwright).3.Understanding of software development methodologies, especially Agile and DevOps.4.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.5.Familiarity with version control systems like Git.Desirable criteria1.Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., K6)2.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.3.Maintain test environments and ensure data integrity for test execution.4.Track defects using tools and participate in defect triage meetings.
