Job Title

A Senior Communications and Engagement Officer is required to provide communications advice and services to various levels of an organisation, creating strong links with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be an experienced communication and/or marketing professional with a flexible and positive approach. They will be outcome driven, able to manage competing work priorities whilst delivering outcomes to a high standard.

This role requires the ability to lead liaison with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and to develop and implement communications, marketing and engagement strategies that deliver on strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will have excellent copywriting and editing skills, as well as the ability to provide feedback and guidance on internal and external communications materials.

They will also be responsible for coordinating the booking of advertising across various channels, including traditional and digital media.

Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure programs meet and adhere to brand, communication and procurement policies and guidelines, and best practice is maintained in all communications, marketing and engagement activities.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of communications, marketing and engagement activities, as well as assisting the PR and External Affairs Advisor with researching, writing and editing copy for Council's external communications.
