Opportunity
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Marketing team is looking for an Open Day Event Assistant to assist with preparing for the Faculty's upcoming Open Day events in August. The role is required to commit to 3-4 days of work per week for up to 16 weeks between May and August. The 2026 Monash Open Days will take place on Sunday, 2 August (Clayton campus) and Sunday, 16 August (Parkville campus), requiring some weekend and overtime work. The role will report to the Faculty's Student Recruitment and International Development Manager and most hours will be spent in‐person from the Faculty Marketing office.
Key Responsibilities
* End‐to‐end organisation of key aspects of the Open Day program such as campus tour training, event programme, and visitor activation programme.
* Perform marketing‐aligned tasks to support successful promotion of the events.
* Handle administrative and logistical tasks to ensure smooth preparations and running of the event, including scheduling meetings and communicating with stakeholders.
* Assist with onboarding and coordination of student ambassadors.
Required Experience and Skills
* Demonstrated organisational, event and/or project management experience.
* Proven ability to manage stakeholders and meet deadlines for positive outcomes.
* Comfortable with multitasking.
* Commitment to a minimum of three days of work per week for the duration of the contract, and readiness for limited weekend and out‐of‐hours work. The role is based at the Monash Parkville campus with occasional travel to the Monash Clayton campus.
Desirable (but not mandatory)
* Comfortable with public speaking.
* Interest in social media content creation and comfortable being on camera.
* Interest in participating in adjacent student recruitment events such as recruitment expos.
