About the RoleAs a casual Psychologist, you play a pivotal role within our esteemed multi-disciplinary healthcare team, delivering top-tier evidence-based clinical services to eligible personnel with precision and compassion.
You are a passionate, dedicated mental health leader committed to providing the highest quality healthcare to those in need, an excellent communicator and listener, with the ability to make your patients feel comfortable and safe in your hands.
You are empathetic and compassionate, and you understand the importance of this in making a difference to those in need of mental health services. You are a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do.
As the ideal applicant, you will have:An impeccable personal integrity and ethical conductA current, unconditional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRAAn APHRA Board-approved Supervisor credentialA minimum of 2 years' full-time (or part-time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience supervising provisionally registered psychologistsA recent engagement in Continuous Professional Development activitiesA valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certificationKnowledge of relevant State/Territory policies, national standards, and the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2018-2023Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain/maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance
About the LocationLocated approximately 45km South of Perth, the Stirling Health Centre is on base at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island. This base has a 4km causeway that connects the island to the mainland of Rockingham, and the health centre itself offers physiotherapy, dentistry, pharmaceutical, general medical and outpatient services, and provides support to the Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit. Its standard hours of operation are 0730-1600, Monday-Friday.
