Job Overview
As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will work in our Brooklyn Depot team delivering high-quality electrical services while adhering to strict performance standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Performing installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs of critical equipment such as transformers and switchgear.
* Interpreting and implementing technical instructions, drawings, standards, regulations, and procedures.
* Conducting electrical tests, analyzing results, and submitting reports on substation equipment such as circuit breakers and cables.
* Executing general metal fabrication and earth grid bonding using oxy/LPG cutting, brazing, and welding processes.
Requirements
* Working knowledge of electricity distribution assets.
* Practical experience with metering, communication systems, testing, and maintenance techniques.
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate efficiently with colleagues and customers.
* Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to established work procedures.
A Certificate III in Electro Technology Electrician (UEE30811) or equivalent qualification is mandatory for the position. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination and relevant drug and alcohol testing.
