Support Worker Role
We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health issues to achieve their goals and maintain wellness.
* Listen to individuals and create opportunities tailored to their interests and aspirations.
* Encourage shared learning experiences and support skill development through self-directed learning and education.
* Provide individualized support that aligns with each person's recovery journey, focusing on strengths and empowerment.
* Participate in direct service delivery and be 'hands-on' in the community.
In this role, you will use your lived experience to mentor others and contribute to staff learning and service development. A Certificate IV or above in a relevant field or at least 2 years of full-time experience in the human services sector is required.
Mental Health Workers work closely with clients to understand their challenges and provide support. They must have a strong commitment to recovery-based practice and be able to effectively use Microsoft Office and data information management systems.
