The Associate Director – Pre‑Sales Architecture (Government) is a senior player‑coach leadership role, combining hands‑on technical authority with the responsibility of leading and developing a high‑performing Pre‑Sales Architecture team. Reporting to the Director of Pre‑Sales Architecture, this role provides strategic and technical leadership, acts as a point of escalation, and drives a culture of innovation, governance excellence and high‑quality solution outcomes for government clients.
The role requires strong engagement with Sales and senior government stakeholders, including solution governance, pipeline contribution and delivery of compelling, outcomes‑focused architectures. A Canberra‑based presence is critical, with government security clearance highly desirable, and includes an at‑risk component aligned to the performance and sales targets of the direct reporting teams.
Your day to day will consist of
* Lead and coach a Pre‑Sales Architecture team in a player‑coach role, ensuring performance, governance compliance and escalation support.
* Partner with Sales leadership to align Pre‑Sales strategy, support pipeline execution and influence deal outcomes using structured sales methodologies.
* Own the design, governance and risk management of complex, multi‑domain Telco and ICT solutions across the deal lifecycle.
* Engage senior customers through presentations, demonstrations and solution thought leadership to clearly articulate value and ROI.
* Build strong internal and vendor partnerships while driving innovation, account planning and continuous improvement.

* Strong consultative Pre‑Sales leadership with proven ICT selling capability and deep knowledge of formal sales methodologies.
* Subject matter expertise across CX (Customer Experience/Contact Centre), ICT and Telco domains, supported by relevant industry and vendor certifications (e.g. NICE CXOne, Cisco, Microsoft)
* Advanced solution design, documentation and thought‑leadership skills, including high‑quality bid content and written technical materials.
* Highly effective communicator with strong influencing, negotiation and executive‑level presentation capability in matrixed environments.
* Analytical and delivery‑focused, able to manage competing priorities and maintain AGSVA BASELINE Security Clearance.
