About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to drive sales of Carrier branded Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air conditioning systems. The role requires technical expertise and relationship building to promote and support VRF products.
Key Responsibilities
* Proven experience in business development of VRF products in Australia
* In-depth knowledge of VRF air conditioning systems, features, capabilities, and applications
* Stay informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor products
* Collaborate with sales and service teams to identify potential customers and participate in sales presentations and reviews
* Provide technical guidance to customers regarding VRF solutions
* Analyze customer cooling and heating needs and assist consultants in designing VRF solutions
* Prepare detailed proposals including system layouts, equipment selection, pricing, and technical documentation
* Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, architects, developers to generate new business opportunities
* Act as point of contact for technical inquiries and ensure prompt responses
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution from order placement to facility installation and commissioning
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with specialization in Airconditioning
* 7–10 years of technical sales experience in HVAC industry, focusing on VRF air conditioning systems
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey product information to both technical and non‐technical audiences
* Basic knowledge of heat load estimation, CAD software and other relevant tools (a plus)
* Willingness to travel as required
