The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Music Teacher to join our Performing Arts team two days per week. The successful applicant will inspire young learners to explore and enjoy music, building strong foundations in both theory and performance.
This position offers the opportunity to teach in our outstanding Performing Arts Precinct, which includes purpose-built music rooms, rehearsal spaces, and a state-of-the-art Performance Hall with orchestra pit. These facilities provide a world-class environment for fostering creativity and showcasing student achievement.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and age-appropriate Primary Music lessons.
* Develop students' musical skills through singing, instruments, and performance opportunities.
* Encourage creativity, confidence, and collaboration through classroom and co-curricular music.
* Participate in performances and College events that highlight student learning.
* Work collaboratively within the Performing Arts team and wider Primary staff.
About You
* Relevant tertiary teaching qualification with a focus in Music Education.
* Current teaching accreditation/registration with the Queensland College of Teachers.
* Demonstrated ability to teach classroom music at the Primary level.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with young learners.
* A collaborative, flexible, and student-focused teaching approach.
* A commitment to aligning with and actively supporting the values and Christian ethos of the College.
