Job Title: SAP Basis Consultant

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join our client on a 12-month daily rate contract based in Melbourne. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimising the SAP technical environment, ensuring high system availability, stability, and performance.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile project, with preference given to candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing sector and/or federal government environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide SAP Basis administration across multiple SAP landscapes.
- Manage system performance, tuning, upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Support SAP migrations, integrations, and refreshes.
- Implement and maintain system security, authorisations, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor, analyse, and resolve technical issues to ensure system uptime and reliability.
- Collaborate with functional, development, and infrastructure teams to deliver seamless SAP operations.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation and best practices.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience as an SAP Basis Consultant.
- Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, HANA, Solution Manager, and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with system upgrades, migrations, and cloud/hybrid environments.
- Exposure to SAP environments in manufacturing and/or federal government organisations highly regarded.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
