Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) is currently seeking motivated and values-driven
Engineering Vacation Students
to join our Asset Management team over the upcoming vacation period. This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience supporting a range of engineering functions including civil, structural or mechanical engineering across capital works, maintenance projects and asset management.
What You'll Do
Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will:
* Contribute to developing systems for engineering inspections
* Contribute to developing systems for asset data collection and recording
* Assist in planning, design and coordination of small engineering projects
* Complete site asset inspections and develop associated reports and work packs
* Support drawing updates and drawing management processes
* Help digitise and maintain accurate asset data records
* Work with project teams to compile technical and tender documentation
* Live and model GPC's core values and high safety standards
About You
We're looking for candidates who are passionate about engineering and eager to grow their skills in a real-world environment. To be successful, you will:
* Be currently studying a tertiary qualification in Civil, Structural, Mechatronic or Mechanical Engineering
* A fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes, demonstrating initiative and self-sufficiency in acquiring new skills
* Possess sound knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply them practically
* Be proficient in MS Office (especially Excel and MS Project), and comfortable using technology and systems
* Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
* Hold a C Class Driver's Licence
* Be eligible to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
