Mercy Connect supports people in need to live fulfilled lives. We provide a range of services to support adults, children and older people with a disability to live independently and get actively involved in their community. Mercy Connect is a not-for-profit Catholic organisation delivering a range of programs registered under the NDIS. Our programs support people with disability to build skills and capability to ensure they can participate in leading a meaningful life.

The Role:

The Assistant Team Leader (ATL) supports Team Leaders and Operational Managers in delivering quality, personcentred services that safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of participants. The ATL coaches and mentors Disability Support Workers to achieve participant-focused outcomes, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

As the primary contact between Disability Support Workers and Management, the ATL fosters strong relationships with participants and their families, ensuring a customer service ethos in service delivery. The ATL also provides outof-hours support as part of the 'On Duty' roster and may be contacted outside normal work hours for matters which require immediate attention.

About You:

To be successful in this role you must address the following selection criteria:

* Proven ability to apply person centred active support.
* Proven ability to manage all participant documentation and keep currency.
* Excellent communication skills including oral and written communication.
* Ability to assist the team to implement and review participant support plans and relevant supporting documents.
* Ability to coach and develop teams by providing support, supervision and coaching in line with organisational values
* Well-developed organisational skills including attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
* Solution focused and sound problem-solving skills.
* High level computer literacy and effective use of technology

* Certificate IV in Disability or related discipline (or willingness to complete)

* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children's Check (WWCC) – NSW/VIC
* Current, valid driver's licence and a willingness to drive Mercy Connect vehicles.
* Participate in a rotating on call roster that requires working outside normal office hours.
* Availability to work across a 24-7 rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers- if needed.
* Current First Aid certificate
* Some work outside normal rostered hours may be needed
