Job Overview
This position offers strong safety leadership exposure and is a great opportunity to showcase coaching, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising rehabilitation and construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely according to Rio Tinto standards, policies, procedures, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
* Drive continuous improvement and maintain a safe working environment for all colleagues and contractors.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a culture of participation and improvement.
* Promote compliance with standardised processes, systems, and tools.
* Manage rehabilitation projects to improve safety, productivity, and asset reliability.
* Provide technical support, direction, and management of assigned projects with a focus on site safety and contractor management.
* Oversee site mobilisation, monitor performance, coordinate works with other site activities, and resolve design or delay issues.
* Proven safety leadership skills and ability to engage positively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Experience in Project Management, Contractor Management, and Iron Ore Contractor Management (CM One).
* Tertiary education or trade qualification in Heritage Management, Engineering, Civil, or Mining Engineering is highly regarded but not essential.
* Experience in the mining, civil, or earthworks industry is highly regarded.
* Effective people leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.
* Ability to work effectively in diverse teams.
* Experience using SAP.
* Experience working with Pilbara Aboriginal Businesses is advantageous.
* Previous experience in cultural engagement within mining.
* Hold a valid Australian C-class driver's license.
