At the Willunga Branch of the National Trust, we promote and celebrate our heritage and history with a series of activities and programs.
One of these programs is the Bassett Boys' Schoolroom, which is a state heritage-listed schoolroom located at Willunga. It is the home of the Bassett Boys School Program, which offers a unique learning experience for primary students up to year 3 withhands-on interactive activities to support teaching and learning in the Australian Curriculum area of history, civics, and citizenship.
Students are introduced to the history of the buildings and the local area and can experience lifestyles in the late 1800s. Hands-on activities are included throughout the program.
If you have a passion or interest in retelling history, socialising and supporting children and teachers, this could be the role for you
