The Dumbleyung Shire Council invites applications for the position of Chief Executive Officer to strategically lead our Local Government towards significant economic development to deliver jobs and population growth.
The Shire of Dumbleyung is 267km (3 hours) southeast of Perth, covering an area of 2,553 Km2 with its administration centre in the town of Dumbleyung. There are 2 main localities; Dumbleyung and Kukerin.
Council is seeking applicants who demonstrate broad strategic vision and are adaptable with project management skills, from both the public and private sectors. The Shire is proactively working through its Strategic Community Plan 2022‑2032, focused on developing our economy, growing the population, attracting business, and making it a key tourist destination. Applicants will be required to be the ultimate team player and demonstrate, based upon a proven track record, outstanding leadership, strategic management, diplomacy and communication, relationship development and corporate management skills, with the drive to be able to build upon and sustain a high performing culture.
The CEO position is based in Dumbleyung and will be offered on a basis of an employment contract of up to 5 years duration, with a base remuneration package consistent with a band 4 local government in the range of $163,051 to $250,012 + plus housing, vehicle and relocation allowances.
