The Opportunity
Our Planning & Environement team in Perth is growing and looking for a Senior Associate who is keen to join one of Australia's leading practices and work on the full range of environment, planning and mining matters.
Our team advise on all aspects of environment and planning law, ranging from supporting clients obtaining approvals for major projects, ensuing compliance including responding to incidents, planning for and executing closure, working with contamination, climate change and mining law issues and working with our corporate, projects and financing teams relating to major projects and transactions.

We are interested in hearing from people who have:
* 5+ years post qualification environment and planning legal experience gained within a reputable law firm or in-house. Mining law experience viewed very favourably but not essential;
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
* Superior drafting ability;
* A commercial approach and an ability to negotiate contracts;
* Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills;
* Ability to supervise and nurture junior lawyers;
* Ability to be team-focused and also work independently.
