Our people are our greatest strength and we invest in our team members wellbeing, capability and leadership so our team can do meaningful, sustainable work.About the RoleAs Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, high-quality and responsive service delivery across our domestic and family violence programs, while nurturing a capable, connected and supported workforce.You will lead in a way that reflects our values - calm under pressure, reflective in practice, and grounded in purpose.In this role you will:Provide day-to-day leadership supervision and support to a skilled team of specialist counsellors and case managersGuide practice in complex, high-risk and crisis situations, ensuring safety, accountability and best-practice responsesSupport gender-informed, trauma-aware, culturally safe and strengths-based service deliveryContribute to service quality, continuous improvement, reporting and compliance requirementsBuild and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies to enhance safety, access and outcomes for women and childrenRole-model reflective, solution-focused practice and leadership, helping to foster a positive, connected and values-aligned team cultureThis is a hands-on leadership role that combines people leadership with direct client work and shared responsibility for supporting safe, high-quality clinical practice, all grounded in community impact and lived experience.About YouYou are an experienced practitioner and established leader who:Holds a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related disciplineHas a minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience, ideally within DFV servicesDemonstrates strong leadership capability, including supervision, coaching and mentoringHas a deep understanding of domestic and family violence, trauma, intersectionality and gender equityIs confident supporting the team with complex risk assessment, safety planning and crisis responsesCommunicates with warmth, clarity and professionalismIs organised, reflective and committed to ethical, high-quality practice and continuous learningExperience with the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF) is desirable but not essential.Some of the reasons to work with usWe recognise that this work is demanding and we take our team's wellbeing seriously.We offer:Additional 3 days of gifted leave each yearSalary packaging- up to $15,900 per year tax free, plus additional meal and entertainment optionOngoing professional development and growth opportunitiesA genuinely supportive, feminist and trauma-informed workplace cultureA strong focus on reflection, wellbeing and sustainable practiceAn inclusive organisation that values diversity equity and lived experienceAccessible, collaborative leadership that values innovation and learningRequirementsCurrent Queensland Driver's LicenceBlue Card (Working with Children Check)Ability to undertake a National Police CheckRight to work in AustraliaTo ApplyIf this role sounds like you, we encourage you to apply.All applications need to be submitted via Seek and to include:Your resumeA short cover letter outlining your interest in the role and how your experience alignsApplications will be reviewed as they are received and interviews may take place prior to the closing of advertising.
