Overview
Clinical Nurse - Community Mental Health Service (pool for Permanent Full Time / Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time / Part Time and Casual appointments with possible extensions and/or permanency). This recruitment pool is open to suitable applicants for ongoing opportunities within South Metropolitan Health Service.
The successful applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive, evidence-based, recovery-focused nursing care is delivered in the community setting. The Clinical Nurse practices within their scope of practice, in consideration of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Responsibilities
TheClinical Nurse is expected to:
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based nursing care that supports recovery and safety in the community setting.
- Provide clinical and skilled expertise to ensure quality of care and patient safety.
- Practice within your scope of practice and adhere to the Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must have a valid working visa for fixed term appointments or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia for permanent appointments.
- WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility; criminal records screening and integrity checks are required as part of the appointment process. A working with children check and a pre-employment health assessment may be required for the role.
- Referees may be contacted to comment on integrity and ethical behavior.
- Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/11/2026.
