We currently have a vacancy for experienced mechanic based in our Morwell workshop to maintain and repair our company owned fleet of utes, trucks, trailers and materials handling equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles, including utes, trucks, trailers and specialized equipment.
* Conduct in house mechanical works to ensure all vehicles are in top working condition.
* Ability to diagnose and prioritise tasks.
* Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and labour hours to ensure accurate maintenance and service history.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and provide assistance when needed.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Requirements:
* Australian Trade Qualification – Mechanical (Heavy or Light or willingness to upskill).
* Ability to work overtime during peak periods.
* Flexibility for rotating after hours call out roster.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A current driver's licence.
* HC or MC licence or willingness to obtain.
* A 3rd or 4th year Heavy Commercial Vehicle Apprentice will also be considered.
