Destination NSW is the champion and voice for the visitor economy within the NSW Government. Spearheading a whole-of-government approach to visitor economy growth, Destination NSW influences and shapes the visitor economy through strategic research, policy and thought leadership, stakeholder engagement and consultation, partnerships, business support, marketing and events. About the role
The Associate Director, Grants leads Destination NSW’s grant programs and ensures they are delivered fairly, efficiently and on time. The role oversees the full grants process, including application assessment, contracts, milestone reporting and payments.
This role will lead a small team, work closely with internal stakeholders to design and improve grant programs, and provide clear advice to senior leaders. This role will also monitor performance, manage budgets, identify risks and improve systems and processes, including through digital tools, to support the NSW Visitor Economy Strategy.

About You
You are an experienced leader with a strong background in managing grant or funding programs. You understand end‑to‑end grants administration and value clear processes, accountability and good governance.
You can manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and build positive working relationships. You communicate clearly, provide practical advice to senior leaders and are open to improving how grants are delivered for both staff and applicants.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, contract management, project management or related and/or demonstrated equivalent relevant experience.
Key Knowledge and Experience
* Strong experience in analysis, contract management and financial management including the ability to develop and implement processes the relevant systems and technologies and assess outcomes against contract deliverables.
* Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic planning and collaborative implementation and experience evaluating programs or initiatives and reporting results to inform program delivery.
* Demonstrated stakeholder management experience including the ability to work effectively with Destination Networks and visitor economy stakeholders.
* Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and innovation in administration or management with a focus on digital transformation.
