PLC Sydney is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our highly regarded Science faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing Term 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality NSW syllabus Physics lessons to students in Years 11 - 12, and IGCSE Physics to students in Years 9 and 10. There may be an opportunity in future years to teach AS and A - level Physics.
- Design and deliver high-quality NSW syllabus Science lessons to students in Years 7 to 10.
- Create and implement engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of core scientific principles.
- Employ a range of pedagogical strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of all students, from those requiring additional support to those excelling.
- A relevant university degree and teaching qualifications.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Physics at a secondary level, with a proven history of achieving strong academic results.
- In-depth knowledge of the NSW syllabus, including an understanding of its pedagogical requirements and assessment strategies.
You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the School.
You will need to provide a current Working With Children Check Clearance Number and your NESA status and accreditation dates.
