Overview
MEDITECH Australia has two exciting opportunities for a suitably qualified and experienced Interoperability Programmer and a Programmer to join the team in Sydney.
The main purpose of this position as Programmer is the responsibility for providing timely, accurate, and high-quality software support to our customers. Utilising technical, analytical, programming, and procedural skills, a Programmer supports the mission of providing customers with secure, dependable, quality software including timely access to accurate data, to support the daily operations of the healthcare facility.
Interoperability Programmer
Successful candidates for the Interoperability Programmer must be in possession of the following qualifications and skills:
* A tertiary qualification with programming as a major subject.
* Must be able to read and write programming code.
* Must have at least 3 years programming experience.
* Networking skills.
* Have an understanding basic interfacing (At least TCP/IP).
* Exposure to healthcare messaging standards such as HL7 or FHIR.
* Basic understanding of interfaces or system integrations.
* Exposure to APIs, XML, or JSON.
* Exposure to troubleshooting technical issues or working with logs.
* Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell or Python) would be an advantage.
* Exposure to data mapping, message validation, or transforming data between systems would be advantageous.
* Willingness to learn current technologies and healthcare integration concepts.
Programmer
Requirements for the Programmer position include:
* A tertiary qualification with programming as a major subject.
* Must be able to read and write programming code.
* Must have at least 3 years programming experience.
* Networking skills.
* Troubleshoot basic and intermediate problems. Escalate according to the escalation timelines.
* Shadow seniors in more advanced issue troubleshooting.
* Read and understand functional specifications and make recommendations.
* Understand and formulate technical specifications and make recommendations.
* Being familiar with various supporting software (MAGIC OS, Windows, MSWord, Citrix, etc.) and its impact on applications.
* Must be able to find appropriate DTS's and patch accordingly.
* Write reports using Report Writer and Report Designer.
* Must be able to do peer reviews.
