Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, preparing, and producing food requirements as directed by the Chef Manager or Head Chef.
As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen facilities. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and positive attitude will make you an excellent fit for this position.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and assemble food requirements according to recipes and instructions provided by the Chef Manager or Head Chef.
* Clean and maintain food preparation and consumption areas, cooking equipment, and utensils to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
* Monitor food safety standards and practices, maintaining hygiene in food preparation areas and completing all Food Safety Documentation accurately and timely.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining it in a clean and safe condition.
Qualifications
* Must have a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or higher.
* Hold relevant Food Safety Certificates.
* Have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen environment.
* Possess a full understanding of HACCP Food Safety guidelines.
* Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Exhibit excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Be motivated, with a positive attitude and a drive to provide high-quality outcomes.
