We are moving forward, and we want you to come along for the ride.About the opportunityReporting to the 'General Manager, Shareholder Liaison', you will be accountable for maintaining strategic, trusted relationships with Shareholders and Government Departments. Effective management of these relationships will ensure transparent, timely, and coordinated communication between Australia Post and Shareholders and Government Department stakeholders.This role facilitates communication between Shareholder Department stakeholders and Australia Post for key projects including Modernisation and government programs, as well as the co-ordination and preparation of information to support parliamentary services. Responsibilities include representing Australia Post in various Shareholder Department engagements and preparing complex briefs and other materials for Shareholder Departments where required.What you'll deliver with usDevelop and support the execution of the Shareholder Department Modernisation strategy and planCoordinate the business's engagement with Shareholder Department stakeholders, both reactively on Modernisation matters as raised, and proactively in support of Australia Post's Reform objectivesProactively lead the development of complex, coherent, and persuasive briefs and advice to various government departments to help influence government (at all levels)Provide high level internal advice to support all areas of the business, and proactively identify opportunities across the government for Australia PostAbout youRelevant tertiary qualification in political science, public policy, economics, or a related field5+ years' experience, including extensive experience in Shareholder office and/or Government department roles, ideally with exposure in a relevant policy fieldStrong commercial acumen and proven ability to work in complex team environments and organisationsStrong knowledge and understanding of Federal Departmental and Government decision-making cycles and processes, as well as a great understanding of government policy development processesDemonstrated ability to prepare complex briefing and policy material with a sound understanding of unique regulatory operating environment faced by GBEsHow we will deliver for youExceptional development opportunities towards senior leadership and specialist opportunities with Australia Post GroupWe invest in you for the long-term, encouraging growth through delivering on our values of trust, inclusivity, empowerment, and safety.
