About the Role
Senior Application Developer is responsible for sustaining and enhancing existing systems using best practices, tools, and technologies through code and configuration changes. The position will also provide customer and production support, while implementing change requests to support ongoing projects and business needs.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Implement detailed and complex change requests through code and configuration updates
Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions
Review and test complex software code developed by peers when required
Work closely with QA teams to support testing activities and resolve defects
Develop and maintain integration and unit tests
Assist in assessing and analyzing requirements for change requests
Provide production and application support when required
Review code for accuracy, performance, and functionality
Supervise, mentor, and train new team members
Requirements and Experience
Mandatory Experience
Minimum 5+ years of professional software development experience
Extensive backend development experience using the following:
C# and .NET framework
Proven experience building and consuming APIs using web services
Strong understanding of software design patterns and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Solid experience with source control systems such as Git and SVN
Defence experience highly desirable.
Desirable Experience & Knowledge
Development experience with SQL Server database
Frontend development experience using JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
Ability to manage multiple priorities and troubleshoot issues efficiently
Experience working in Agile development environments
Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Programming, or a related discipline
