About the Role
The Head Chef is responsible for managing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety and overseeing staff performance.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Planning – design nutritious and diverse menus that meet residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
Food Preparation – prepare and cook meals using fresh ingredients and adhere to food handling and safety protocols.
Quality Control – ensure meals meet high standards of taste, appearance and portion size; adjust based on resident feedback.
Inventory & Budget Management – manage stock levels and budget efficiently, source ingredients cost-effectively and minimise food waste.
Nutritional Analysis – collaborate with dietitians and nutritionists to analyse meal content and provide balanced options.
Skills & Experience
Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher qualifications.
Food Safety Supervisor Certification or equivalent.
Adaptive, passionate, and willing to learn.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Excellent communication abilities with a friendly approach.
Applicants must have Australian Working Rights and a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or be willing to obtain one.
