Base pay range: A$110,000.00/yr - A$140,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
* Lead and grow the civil engineering function in the local office, building its capability and project profile to match the success of the organisation's thriving interstate offices.
* Provide technical oversight and hands-on project management across a pipeline of challenging civil engineering projects, including land development, stormwater, public infrastructure, and complex multi-disciplinary builds.
* Apply best-practice design and delivery in compliance with Australian standards, integrating cutting-edge modelling software and digital design tools.
* Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with diverse specialists (hydraulic, water, fire, advisory) to deliver holistic, high-quality project outcomes.
* Engage actively with stakeholders—clients, authorities, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams—through all project stages, from scoping to completion.
* Drive continuous improvement in project quality, cost-effectiveness, constructibility, and sustainability, drawing on the organisation's culture of innovation and technical excellence.
* Represent the company at industry forums, adding value through professional input and supporting business development activity as the team grows locally.
* Champion compliance, risk management, and rigorous documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills Required
Technical Skills:
* Demonstrated experience delivering complex civil engineering projects in Australia.
* Strong working knowledge of Australian standards, regulations, and compliance processes.
* Advanced proficiency with civil design software (e.g. 12D, AutoCAD, MUSIC, DRAINS, or similar).
* Leadership, team building, and technical mentorship experience.
* Stakeholder engagement across private, government, and contractor interfaces.
* Thorough understanding of project management from scoping and feasibility through to detailed design and delivery.
