Our Technology team provides IT Solutions for Federal Group’s three operating divisions located throughout Australia: Federal Hospitality, Transport and Gaming Technology.

What you’ll be doing 
- Monitor, maintain, and upgrade Federal Group’s LAN and WAN infrastructure technologies.
- Provide technical support and fault resolution for Network (LAN/WAN), Network Security (Firewall/ACL), Telecommunications (VoIP) and related systems — preventing outages through proactive monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with incident, problem, change, and configuration management processes, while upholding IT security policies.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of Federal Group infrastructure to deliver ongoing solutions and support high availability for staff.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and provide expert advice for business discussions and projects.
- Document systems, processes, and infrastructure changes, including CMDB/ITIL records and monthly reporting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce technology failures and improve business outcomes.
- Produce network design and implementation documentation, including work break down and delivery.
What you’ll bring 
- Proven experience in network and infrastructure support in a medium-to-large organisation.
- Strong skills in:
- - LAN & Wireless LAN (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki)
- Firewalls (Meraki, Fortinet)
- Cisco Unified Communications (VoIP)
- WAN Operations (Cisco SDWAN)
- Routing Protocols (BGP and OSPF)
- DNAC (Catalyst Centre) Cisco ISE
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues under time pressure.
- A collaborative mindset, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and documentation best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively planning, organising and prioritising workloads.
- Previous experience producing network design and implementation documentation.
- Mandatory:
- Hold’s CCNA certification.
- Ability to attain Tasmanian Gaming License accreditation
- Highly Desirable:
- Hold’s CCNP certification
- Experience with Jira (for work planning and incident management)
