An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Manager to join the senior leadership team of a respected and growing organisation in the construction sector. This newly created role offers a dynamic platform for a senior commercial professional to influence business strategy, drive contract excellence, and manage commercial risk in large-scale Tier 1 construction environments. Working within a well-established group known for its commitment to excellence and innovation, this position is ideally suited to candidates who have led high-value contract negotiations and provided strategic commercial oversight on major infrastructure or construction projects. About the Role You will be a key member of the senior management team, reporting directly to the CFO, and will be responsible for all aspects of commercial operations - from risk management and contract negotiations to providing high-level strategic input across the business. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Leadership: Shape and execute commercial strategies aligned with long-term business objectives. Tier 1 Contract Negotiation: Lead high-stakes negotiations with top-tier clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes. Legal and Risk Oversight: Provide in-depth commercial and legal advice across the contract lifecycle, from formation through to dispute resolution. Strategic Contract Management: Manage end-to-end contract processes including execution, compliance, variations, and renewals. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, operations, and business development teams to embed strong commercial practices across all functions. Tender & Bid Strategy: Contribute to major tender submissions with commercially aligned strategies to win high-value projects. Governance & Reporting: Maintain commercial governance frameworks and deliver accurate commercial reporting to senior leadership.
