Fleet Plant Hire Solutions is Australia’s premier earth moving plant hire and material solutions business in the civil construction industry.
Following the recent merger of its Queensland business with Fastway Enterprises, a new position for a financial accountant has been created to assist the Queensland leadership team in managing the business’ rapid growth in Queensland and Northern NSW, as well as assisting the corporate office finance team.
Working from our Miami office and reporting to the CFO who is based in Melbourne, this role will suit a self-managed financial accountant who enjoys a hands‑on role and can contribute across a range of finance activities across a number of Group entities.
Key Responsibilities
* Month-end close including journals and reconciliations
* Accounts receivable and payable duties Support with tax compliance and audit
* Analyse and progress financial information through to accurate transaction completion
* Support balance sheet and P&L integrity across the organisation
* Flex across different areas of the finance team based on business priorities
We are looking for:
* Degree in Accounting
* At least 4-5 years’ experience preparing monthly financial accounts, general tax knowledge including FBT, GST and BAS preparation, accounts receivable and payable duties
* Experience using Xero with intermediate to advance Excel skills.
* Self-managed with a strong attention to detail, driven to meet deadlines, problem solving and establish priorities
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as take on new tasks
