We are proud to be partnering this highly successful Australian national business that has been supplying the Food industry for over two decades. They have a strong sales presence across the Eastern Seaboard, Tasmania and West Australia complimented by an intricate warehouse and distribution network to service a stable of reputable brands and consumable products. Having targeted areas for strategic growth and development, they are keen to enlist the services of a commercially focused finance professional to support the Executive Management Team in realising these growth ambitions.
This role reports to the General Manager and will lead a small internal Finance team as well as an outsourced function. You will be tasked with bringing the management reporting, analysis and business accounting functions in house (currently outsourced to their external Accounting Firm) and building robust systems, processes and policies to deliver reliable and timely financial reporting and business insights. You will add significant impact by establishing and maintaining the group budgeting process as well as streamlining disparate systems and reporting tools to integrate with their ERP solution to create a robust reporting and MIS platform.
This role has carriage across all financial controllership, governance and forecasting as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. We require a strategic thinker who can manage financial risks, optimise processes, and provide actionable insights to support the company's growth and profitability. We are seeking applicants with specific exposure to working capital, inventory and stock control, as well as exceptional cash flow forecasting and management skills. Previous Import/ Distribution and FMCG experience would be viewed favourably given the metrics and KPI's alignment.
You are CPA/CA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 5-7 years of experience in a management finance role, preferably within a Consumable Durables or FMCG player. You can demonstrate experience with ERP, and integrated accounting systems, with a track record of leveraging these systems for financial reporting and analysis. Understanding of inventory control, complex intercompany transactions, working capital management and advanced FP&A analysis would be highly desirable. You are a confident communicator who enjoys "getting out from behind the desk" and into the operations to understand the business.
Please note this is an office based role in Devonport with occasional travel to regional sales and distribution sites across the Australian Eastern Seaboard and WA. We are happy to accept expressions of interest from individuals happy to relocate for a "tree change".
