About Us
We are committed to delivering quality services to our NDIS and Aged Care participants, and we're looking for a motivated professional to join our team as a Support Worker.
About the Role
We're seeking compassionate Support Workers to assist an adult participant in Long Jetty living with the effects of a stroke. The participant is wheelchair-user and requires daily support to live safely and comfortably at home and stay connected to the community.
What you will do
* Personal Care: Showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, safe transfer
* Domestic Assistance: Light cleaning, laundry, meal prep
* Social & Community Assistance: Companionship, outings, appointments, community access
* Follow individual support plans and maintain clear notes
Hours & Location
* 7 hours per day (rostered - final schedule discussed at interview)
* Long Jetty, NSW (Travel within local area may be required)
About you
* Previous experience in Disability/Aged Care or Personal Care (Stroke/hoist/manual handling experience highly regarded)
* Warm, respectful communicator who can work independently
* Current valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
* Current or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate.
* Current or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current or willing to obtain Working with Children Check
* High level of time management and organisational ability.
* Certificate III and above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Community Service or Disability will be an advantage.
* Satisfactory Australian National Police check, Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screening check or willing to obtain these documents.
