Selection Criteria :
- Selection Criteria 1: Accounting or business management qualifications and experience in accounting, financial management, annual financial statement preparation, analytical and advisory functions.
- Selection Criteria 2: Extensive knowledge of accrual accounting concepts and principles and financial management practices, preferably in a public sector environment.
- Selection Criteria 3: Strong leadership and relationship management skills with the ability to strengthen a culture of financial accountability and transparency.
- Selection Criteria 4: Strong strategic, conceptual, analytical and cooperative skills.
- Selection Criteria 5: Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, set priorities and work under pressure to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Selection Criteria 6: High level oral and written communication skills with proven ability to write reports, policy papers, briefing notes and other correspondence in an workplace requiring performance of multiple tasks and adherence to deadlines.
- Selection Criteria 7: Demonstrated ability to show initiative and a focus on continued improvement.
- Selection Criteria 8: Advanced level in Excel spreadsheets.
- Selection Criteria 9: High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Desirable Criteria 1: Membership of a recognised Australian accounting body.
- Desirable Criteria 2: Experience and knowledge of Northern Territory government systems including GAS, BOXI, NTGPay, TRIPS, and Xero Payroll.
