To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Quaker Oats team as the Finance Accountant at our Forrestfield site.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for the whole of financial reporting function and to be part of an effective Finance team that produces timely and meaningful information that assists Management in effective business decision making.

Responsibilities
* Processing of financial information to the accounting system, month end accounting entries, all journal entries and preparing the general ledger to trial balance.
* Preparation of monthly financial accounts
* Control financial reporting as required by Region, Sector and Corporate offices
* Inventory management and maintaining debtor and creditor databases
* Provide support for annual audit requirements including liaising with and supporting external audit teams in timely completion
Qualifications
* Relevant tertiary qualification, with a major in Accounting. Preferably a CA/CPA designation
* Previous experience in computerised accounting systems, preferably within a manufacturing environment is required
* Essential to have an intermediate / advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word applications
* Ability to work and communicate with all levels of employees within the business
* Decide and apply appropriate accounting standards and policies for treatment of accounting issues/matters
* Keeping up to date on changes in taxation, relevant legislations and standards in both overseas and within Australia
* Complete all required processes, including reporting to internal and external stakeholders in short deadlines
* Positive mindset and attitude
