About the role
The School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join the Occupational Therapy program at our Fremantle campus.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for preparing, coordinating, developing, and delivering Occupational Therapy courses within the program. This includes collaborating with colleagues to ensure curriculum quality and relevance, managing student processes such as advanced standing, and contributing to the design, implementation, and review of the Occupational Therapy program.
If appointed at Senior Lecturer level, the candidate will also take on responsibility for establishing, maintaining, and coordinating a leadership portfolio within the Occupational Therapy program, working closely with the Program Coordinator (Fremantle), Occupational Therapy.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, practical classes, workshops, and seminars, including course coordination and development of subject material.
* Provide student consultation, marking, and assessment, and supervise honours and postgraduate students, including major research projects.
* Conduct research and contribute to scholarly publications, including participation or leadership in research projects where appropriate.
* Collaborate on the design, implementation, and review of course content and program structure to ensure quality and relevance.
* Maintain involvement in professional activities and networks to support teaching and research excellence.
* Undertake administrative tasks associated with teaching, research, and program coordination.
Qualifications, skills & experience
Lecturer (Level B)
* A doctoral degree or equivalent accreditation and standing in the relevant discipline area.
* Appropriate qualifications and/or experience for the discipline, which may include professional registrations or certifications.
* Significant experience in tertiary education or equivalent industry experience within the relevant field.
* Experience may include teaching, research, experience outside tertiary education, creative achievement, professional contributions, and/or technical achievement.
* A background in Neuroscience will be viewed favourably.
* Commitment to and support for the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
Senior Lecturer (Level C)
* Possession of a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
* Advanced qualifications and/or recognised significant experience in the relevant discipline area.
* Experience may include teaching, research, experience outside tertiary education, creative achievement, professional contributions, and/or technical achievement.
* A record of demonstrable scholarly and professional achievement in the relevant discipline area.
* Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
* A background in Neuroscience will be viewed favourably.
