Technical Sales Consultant Role
Job Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our sales team as a Technical Sales Consultant, where you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and cultivating strategic relationships with growers and key influencers in the agricultural and horticultural industries. As a seasoned professional in AgTech sales, you will leverage your extensive industry knowledge and network to identify and prioritise new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive sales success by achieving revenue growth targets through strategic farm acquisitions and fostering quality customer relationships.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the agricultural and horticultural sectors, focusing on identifying new business opportunities.
* Take ownership of business development within the AgTech sector, ensuring the growth of our customer base in Southern New South Wales and Northern Victoria.
* Provide continuous support to customers, including equipment planning, deployment, installation, and after-sales services.
* Deliver training to partners and customers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of our product features and applications.
* Coordinate and attend industry events that are critical to sales success and revenue growth, delivering presentations as required.
* Stay informed on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to shape partnership strategies and uncover new opportunities.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and maximise opportunities for expanding sales.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
A proven track record in technical sales, preferably within the AgTech or agriculture sectors, coupled with relevant qualifications or experience in Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive understanding of IoT technology applications in agriculture, established industry networks, and strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
