About the role
4. This role assists with the delivery of a high quality inpatient rehabilitation service for CALHN serviced by the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre consistent with the Transforming Health plan.
5. The AHP 3 Senior Clinical Dietitian - Rehabilitation provides services as a member of the inter-disciplinary, rehabilitation team. In this role, the Senior Clinical Dietitian - Rehabilitation works in collaboration with other members of the team to effectively plan and provide therapeutic interventions based on client rehabilitation goals and provides services which support discharge and hospital avoidance strategies. This role promotes client centred practice, leads and incorporates evidence based service delivery into daily practice within inpatient services.
6. This position services a complex client group including individuals with a diagnosis of stroke, amputation, orthopaedic conditions or surgery, brain or spinal cord injury or other conditions resulting in functional decline, as well as supporting other team members in the management of rehabilitation clients.
7. The Senior Clinical Dietitian - Rehabilitation informs and advocates on a wide range of issues as they pertain to their particular client group. The Dietitian provides support, consultation and supervision to dietetic staff and students, and clinical leadership within the team to ensure effective teamwork and provision of a high quality service. This position will lead activities which support client flow, service efficiency and quality.
8. The Senior Clinical Dietitian - Rehabilitation acts as a key member of the rehabilitation clinical leadership team.
Qualifications
9. Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Association of Australia.
