TheCluster Director of Sales is responsible for the Sales growth and strategy for two Melbourne Hotels; Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands and AC by Marriott Hotel Southbank. This role reports to the Cluster General Manager and is supported by the Market Director of Sales.
Position Summary: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve property's financial room and catering goals whilst consistently analysing market information Responsible for managing large group/catering related opportunities with significant revenue potential Support the hotel's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by engaging and inspiring guests through each customer experience Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external Ensure you and the team uphold all company policies and procedures whilst enabling achievement of property sales objectives Lead and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function Ensure your team is supporting thehotel's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by engaging and inspiring guests through each customer experience Plan and execute team building activities so associates feel valued for their contributions Be a dynamic and thoughtful leader by empowering and supporting your team About You: Experience managing others Hotel or hospitality experience preferred Demonstrated leadership experience Self-motivated, driven and energized in a fast-paced environment Exclusive staff discounts on food and beverage and hotel rooms (including all properties within the Marriott International group) for you, your family and friends Sales incentive bonus with opportunity to earn up to 30% of base salary, paid quarterly Commission earning potential for sales referrals to other Marriott International properties Private health insurance Grow, develop, and progress with internationally recognized training programs, unlimited strategic development and exciting career opportunities within the Marriott International group Genuine care for associates' physical, emotional and financial wellbeing through our Employee Assistance Program Opportunity to receive Employee Referral Incentives and get paid for working with your friend Work for the Largest Hotel Network in the World which values equality, diversity and inclusiveness For more information and to apply visit the Marriott Careers website.
