Job Title: Systems & Network Engineer (On-Site) Location: North Sydney, NSW Salary: Up to $120k Super Type: Permanent (On-site, 5 days per week) Eligibility: Permanent Resident / Citizen only (No sponsorship or relocation offered) About the Role I am seeking a hands-on Systems & Network Engineer with experience working in an MSP, who can balance technical expertise with strong client engagement skills. This is a client-facing role where you'll be the trusted technical advisor, delivering solutions across servers, networks, firewalls, and security systems, while also ensuring a seamless client experience. If you enjoy solving complex technical problems, thrive in customer-facing environments, and want to work across diverse projects, this role will give you both technical variety and the opportunity to build long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact and trusted advisor for client IT needs. Design, configure, and maintain servers, networks, firewalls, and security systems. Troubleshoot complex issues across hybrid, cloud, and on-premise environments. Conduct on-site client visits for support, maintenance, and project delivery. Deliver high-quality support in line with SLAs, escalating and resolving issues quickly. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement solutions. Document technical work, site visits, and client interactions clearly. Contribute to infrastructure and network projects, from requirements gathering to delivery. Provide training and best-practice guidance to clients and colleagues. Participate in after-hours/emergency support when required. Key Skills & Experience 5 years' experience in systems and network engineering. Strong knowledge of networking, servers, firewalls, and IT security. Experience with cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments. Proficiency with ITSM/helpdesk tools (e.g., Datto Autotask). Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive, customer-first mindset. Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Experience delivering on-site technical services and managing multiple priorities. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred). What Success Looks Like High client satisfaction and strong long-term relationships.
