In this role, you'll:
Be based in Orange, NSW. Operating a variety of major plant items that are used in road construction and maintenance within road infrastructure.
Perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools.
Undertake road maintenance activities which may include, but not limited to, material loading or transfer, pavement and corridor maintenance such as vegetation maintenance, safety barrier maintenance, enhanced road pavements, overtaking lanes and heavy patching works
Travel throughout the District to attend worksites including attending call outs on weekends and after hours scheduled night work where required.
We take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 70km distance from the orange depot.

About you
We're seeking a team player and knowledgeable plant operator who is experienced in safe and efficient operations of Road maintenance equipment.
You'll be confident, and highly capable operating major plant including Backhoe, Excavator and Skid Steer and have proven experience rectifying simple hazards without direction and reporting them accordingly.
You must hold the following qualifications:
* White Card
Whilst not essential a truck licence, or the ability to load plant on the back of truck/trailer would be highly desirable.
