Mental health clinicians play a critical role in providing holistic, evidence-based care to support recovery for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with senior clinicians and team leaders to deliver comprehensive bio-psycho-social clinical assessments, treatment, and care plans that prioritize consumer-centered and family-inclusive practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing evidence-based and best-practice clinical assessments, identifying and prioritizing consumers' needs, and developing risk management plans.
* Undertaking comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, identifying and prioritizing consumer and family needs, including risk assessment and management.
* Attending Mental Health Tribunals and ensuring consumers' rights are met under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act.
* Coordinating crisis assessments and admissions to mental health bed-based units.
* Monitoring physical health conditions and promoting physical wellbeing.
Required skills and qualifications include recent clinical experience in a range of mental health settings, well-developed mental health assessment skills, good knowledge of the Mental Health Wellbeing Act and other relevant legislation, and good knowledge of the recovery model and how it informs engagement with consumers.
