Seeking an experienced HR Manager to support a renewable energy company to establish their HR function
**Your new company**
Hays is working exclusively with an Australian-owned and operated business within the renewable energy industry, who are seeking an HR Manager to join their team on a part-time basis.
We are looking for an ambitious, innovative, and commercially minded HR Manager to join the business in this newly created role, which will work closely with business leaders to ensure that the people function is established and runs efficiently to support business growth. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the opportunity to become permanent.
**Your new role**
As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing advice and guidance on people-related matters and working to support the implementation of a diverse range of people-focused programs and frameworks, to ensure that the organisation's workforce capabilities and employer value proposition support the achievement of the organisation's strategy.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver a high level of proactive and reactive support and advice to managers and staff in relation to people-related matters, such as employee relations, organisational development and change, retention, performance management, and policy and procedure.
- Develop and/or enhance policies, procedures, and systems to support HR best practice and ensure that these are in line with relevant legislation.
- When necessary, support managers with end-to-end recruitment activities, including all onboarding and staff inductions.
- Work with managers on annual staff performance reviews, and subsequent training and development to facilitate staff development and career growth.
- Undertake a review of employee benefits and remuneration, ensuring that this is in line with industry best practice to ensure that the organisation is competitive within the market.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the HR function with a continuous improvement mindset.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- A proven track record working in a generalist Human Resources role, at a similar level.
- A sound knowledge of employment law and legislation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level.
- Previous experience in establishing the HR function for an organisation would be advantageous.
