The opportunity:
Our Corporate Finance team has an opening for an experienced Tax Manager, responsible for managing income tax, international tax compliance and advisory matters across our diverse business groups including Frasers Property, FPA Joint Ventures, Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust and Frasers Hospitality.
Reporting to the General Manager – Taxation, Treasury and Risk, this role will partner closely within the team and the broader business and play an important role in achieving the wider CFO Group Goals and objectives.
As the successful applicant, some of your responsibilities include:
8. Prepare income tax returns for FPA tax consolidated group, joint venture entities, FLCT, and FH, ensuring timely lodgement and engaging external advisors for review
9. Calculate income tax provisions, including tax-effect accounting, deferred taxes reporting, and true-ups
10. Manage forecast tax calculations, including thin capitalisation position review for tax consolidated group
11. Provide income tax advice on commercial transactions, acquisitions, divestments, projects, and corporate structuring
12. Oversee tax governance and risk management framework for FPA Group, including policy, processes, and procedures
13. International Tax including transfer pricing documentation, country by country reporting and implementation of international tax initiatives
14. Tax reporting and administration including Finance Committee and Risk reports, Voluntary Tax Transparency reporting and FIRB reporting
15. Lead and coach a team, providing development and ongoing training as well as providing Provide strategic thought leadership to the broader finance team
You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
16. Tertiary qualifications in Taxation or Accounting as well as CA / CPA / Masters of Tax qualified
17. Demonstrated experience in Big 4 Accounting and/or Corporate Environment
18. Experience within the property industry or working with property clients highly regarded but not essential
19. Strong tax technical knowledge with experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns for all types of entities
20. String stakeholder management skills with a curiosity to understand and improve business performance
