Established in 1912, d'Arenberg is one of the most significant wineries in the McLaren Vale region. Famous for an eclectic portfolio of oddly named wines and a bold red stripe that adorns each bottle, our range is considerable and can be found in over 80 countries world-wide.
We are also home to the highly acclaimed d'Arenberg Cube with 360‑degree views overlooking d'Arenberg's vineyards. The building is a five‑story architectural puzzle, carefully designed to entice and excite the senses of our visitors with a plethora of interactive experiences.
Reporting to the d'Arenberg Cube Manager, the Tasting Room Manager performs a variety of customer service, administrative and supervisory duties within the Level 4 Tasting Room as well as other areas in the d'Arenberg Cube, including Concierge, Stables Bottle Shop and Sensorial Circus Café. This is a multi‑dimensional role that requires the ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service whilst maintaining a vibrant approach with a high degree of adaptability.
The primary focus is managing and supervising the day-to-day operations of the Tasting Room and key responsibilities include:
* Tasting Room visitation and sales
* Internal and external customer service
* Providing an enjoyable and educational customer experience
* Concierge
* Induction, training, coaching and mentoring staff
* Providing product updates and Vintage changes
* Building a strong foundation in wine knowledge
* Monitoring staff roster and ensuring appropriate cost‑effective coverage
* Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
* Opening, closing and alarming The Cube
