* Above award hourly rates + overtime penalty rates
* Monday to Friday roster with 7.6 hours worked between 7:00am and 5:00pm
* Permanent full-time position

Based at the Coates Cambridge branch, you'll play a key role in keeping our hire fleet safe, reliable and ready for customers. This is a hands-on mechanical role suited to someone who enjoys variety, teamwork and taking pride in maintaining high-performing equipment.
What you'll be doing day to day
Your typical day will focus on:
* Performing preventative maintenance, servicing and overhauls on a wide range of hire equipment
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults efficiently and safely
* Completing and maintaining accurate service and repair records
* Working proactively to minimise operational downtime
* Ensuring all work complies with Coates safety and quality standards
* Close collaboration with operations, service and customer-facing teams to support equipment availability and a high level of customer satisfaction

What you'll bring to the role
* Relevant trade qualifications ([e.g. Mechanical, Diesel, Plant Mechanic])
* Experience with:
o Petrol and diesel engines
o Hydraulics and pneumatics
o Basic electrical fault finding
* Current Driver's Licence (MR or HR preferred)
* Forklift and EWP tickets (beneficial, not essential)
* Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
* A safety-first mindset and a commitment to quality work
