Are you an Electrical Project Engineer looking to transition from generalist tasks to high-level power system engineering? This is a role designed for an engineer who wants to be at the forefront of Australia’s energy transition, working on sophisticated infrastructure and system stability projects across the Northern Territory. As a valued member of our national team of 90 professionals, you will have the chance to contribute to landmark projects, from large-scale BESS installations to complex mining reticulation, ensuring our clients are ready for a sustainable energy future. Key Responsibilities Run load flow, fault level, and protection coordination studies using platforms such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or SafeGrid. Develop detailed designs for HV and LV reticulation, switch rooms, MCCs, kiosks, and transformers. Create earthing and lightning protection designs, including step and touch potential modelling. Contribute to the technical delivery of renewable energy projects and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Conduct arc flash hazard analysis and provide mitigation recommendations to ensure site safety. Produce high-quality technical reports, drawings, and compliance documentation for clients and regulatory bodies. What You Will Bring A degree or advanced diploma in Electrical Engineering. Around 3–5 years of practical experience in power system analysis and design. Strong familiarity with Australian Standards, specifically AS/NZS 3000, AS3008, AS2067, and AS1768.
