Due to a retirement we are looking to secure an experienced senior cellar hand with Grade 3 or higher certification or experience to be an integral part of our winemaking team producing market leading wines globally.
Reporting to the Winemaking Team you will be responsible for:
- General cellar tasks, rackings, transfers, cleaning tanks, x-flow filtration
- Vintage operations; crushing, pump-overs, pressing, centrifuging, RDV filtration
- final wine preparation using Reverse Osmosis and De-Alc Memstar Technology
- maintaining a clean, tidy and hygienic cellar
- contributing to Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Sustainability and Food Safety compliance
- training of other cellar hands and vintage cellar hands
- Entering and working in confined spaces as well as working at heights, climbing stairs and catwalks
- Work with our maintenance to ensure all cellar equipment is maintained in good operational condition

Physically fit to suit the demanding nature of winery work
- Proficient in computer, communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- Previous RO operation advantageous, training will be provided
- Working in a small fun team environment
- Ability to organise and prioritise jobs
- Be physically fit with ability to work at heights, stairs and catwalks and some tight spaces
- confined space training advantageous
- Experience with handling chemicals, Chemical Handling certificate advantageous
- Holding a current driver's license
- Holding a current HR forklift license
- A valuable work ethic and attitude, and sense of humour
- Vintage requires a commitment to working weekends and public holidays
