Position Overview: We are seeking a HR Coordinator to join our People & Culture team. This key support role is responsible for coordinating onboarding, HR administration and employee lifecycle activities across the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Working closely with operational leaders and the Recruitment Administrator, you will support compliant and effective HR processes while delivering a positive onboarding experience for new employees.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Coordinate onboarding activities including contracts, inductions, PPE/uniforms, and system setup
* Support recruitment coordination in partnership with the Recruitment Administrator and hiring managers
* Monitor onboarding compliance and maintain accurate onboarding records
* Assist with workforce mobilisation activities for projects and remote operations
HR Administration & Employee Support
* Prepare employment contracts, letters, and HR documentation
* Maintain employee records and HR systems
* Support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, transfers, probation management, and offboarding
* Provide day-to-day HR support to leaders and employees across general HR matters
HR Systems & Compliance
* Support HR systems administration, reporting, and compliance tracking
* Assist with continuous improvement of HR processes and workflows
* Ensure HR documentation and records are accurate and compliant
Employee Relations & Coordination
* Assist with workplace investigations and employee relations matters
* Support trainee and apprenticeship coordination activities
* Assist with return-to-work administration and injury management processes
* Escalate complex or sensitive HR matters where required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
* 2–3 years' experience in a HR Coordinator or HR support role
* Strong understanding of onboarding, HR administration, and employee lifecycle processes
* Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Awards
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* High levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail
* Experience using Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
Desirable
* Experience using Employee Connect or similar HRIS systems
* Experience within construction, mining, facilities maintenance, or remote services industries
* Exposure to traineeships, apprenticeships, return-to-work, or workplace investigations
* Experience working within culturally diverse workplaces
