About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Theatre Technician to join our hospital team on a casual basis. Monday to Friday flexible roster and a possible one Saturday a month. No public holidays.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Provide safe transfer, handling and positioning of patients to and from the operating theatre
- Ensure theatres are cleaned between surgical cases
- Assist with stock management and maintain awareness of cost control
- Ensure equipment is available as requested
About You:
You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Experience in a similar role within a hospital setting
- Knowledge and understanding of lifting, positioning and transferring techniques using available equipment
- Knowledge of infection control principles
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate work to meet patient and customer needs

Vermont Private Hospital is a contemporary purpose-built day surgery/ short stay hospital with excellent facilities, specialising in Ophthalmology, Plastic and Cosmetic surgeries, Orthopaedic, Oral & maxillofacial, Vascular, Interventional Pain Services. Our hospital includes 5 fully integrated operating theatres, stage 1 and stage 2 recovery areas and a 19 bed overnight ward.
